In Ukraine, in 2017, the minimum area of mortality of winter crops is fixed - Martynyuk

In Ukraine, the historical minimum mortality of winter crops for the harvest-2017 is fixed. As of April, the area of dead winter crops (for grain) was only 5.6 thousand hectares, or less than 0.1% of the total sown area. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maxim Martynyuk. According to him, this effect was achieved due to favorable weather conditions (most of the winter they were the reference for crops) and agrarians' compliance with optimal terms and technologies of agricultural production.
